Simplifying energy management with IoT - Petar Lalov

Energy management is a topic that becomes more and more important in a world where climate change and growing power consumption are major daily topics. The Energy department of Bosch Software Innovations incorporates different IoT products for different problems such as Smart Energy Management and Monitoring that help people in optimizing and monitoring their consumption. The team uses technologies such as Spring, Kafka and ExtJS for developing outstanding IoT products and solutions for such problems.

Software Update over the Air and Automotive Telemetry – Penko Ivanov

For the last couple of years the Firmware and Software update over the air together with preventive and predictive diagnose in the automotive industry became more and more popular.  Firmware updates over the air save time to both – OEMs and customers. Every single remote update saves additionally fuel and man power for visiting repair shops.

Preventive diagnose with the analyzation of the historical gathered data help the automotive producers build more reliable automotive parts on one hand and on the another can provide good prediction on when certain parts are wared out an require replacement.

PETAR LALOV

Petar is a professional with more than 17 years of technical and managerial expertise. He gained experience in every stage of R&D and production of software and electronic devices, team and project management within mobile, web, automotive, industrial automation and consumer goods. He acquired deep technical experience as software engineer working with different programming languages, software interfaces and protocols, as well as platforms. Currently Petar is a full-stack manager of an agile team within Bosch Software Innovations. In this role, he identifies customer needs, plans and executes hiring strategy, recruitment and recruitment strategies, team setup, coaching and support.

PENKO IVANOV

Penko is a professional with more than 20 years of technical and managerial expertise. During his career development, he participated in many projects in the areas of Smart Home and automotive industries.

Currently he is leading teams participating in automotive projects that do software update over the air (SOTA) and tele-diagnose and telemetry. The teams work closely with more than 250 Bosch associates in different countries working on customer projects and a common automotive platform including both – backend/server side software and ‘in vehicle’ software. In this role, he identifies customer needs, plans and executes hiring strategy, recruitment and recruitment strategies, team setup, coaching and support.
