THE ROLE:
- We are looking for a mid-weight front-end developer who is comfortable building responsive websites using SASS/SCSS in WordPress environment and enjoys finding innovative ways to work collaboratively and efficiently in an agile squad made up of engineers, designers, business representatives and led by a product manager
- This candidate should be able to take a mock-up and write pixel perfect front-end code that accurately presents the design in all browsers
- The ideal candidate will have several years of experience writing vanilla JavaScript as well as experience working with data visualizations
YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SOMETHING BIG:
- You will work within a squad, where you expected to contribute to solving problems as well as building solutions
- You will be writing efficient SCSS and semantic HTML5
- You will be taking data from JSON or from a database and using it to create charts
- You will use JavaScript to display data on web pages
- You will be working in a small team of front-end developers, which is part of a larger team of developers, designers and product managers
- From supplied designs, build mobile-first responsive HTML5/SCSS
OUR IDEAL TEAMMATE HAS/IS:
- Experience with SASS/SCSS 3+ years
- Experience using GIT 3+ years
- Experience writing vanilla JavaScript 3+ years
- Minimum 2-year of experience using a responsive framework such as Foundation or Bootstrap
- Experience of guiding Junior Developers and supporting their growth
BROWNIE POINTS:
- 2 years + WordPress theming experience
- React & WebPack experience
- Experience of page speed optimization methods: image optimization, file minification, etc.
- Experience of A/B testing
- Experience of working in an agile framework within a product squad
