THE ROLE:

• We are looking for a Mid/Senior Software Engineer to be part of our ambitious plans to scale.
• As an organisation we are going into an exciting phase of offering flexible payment products to our small business customers, after becoming the no.1 platform for small business lending in the UK. • The role will be in one of the teams responsible to scale Flexipay - our new flexible payment Product offering for small businesses. We work in Scrum teams within Flexipay Engineering
• As teams we are focussed on building ‘the right thing’ for the customer, with software development practices that promote maintainability ,reliability and quality. And as a Mid/Senior Engineer you will have the opportunity to lead aspects of software development and guide other engineers.

THE TEAM:

Pay team: Pay team is a Scrum team within the Flexipay Engineering group, focussed on safely scaling the Payments payouts process. It’s a challenging product proposition to automate the process, given how the Payments process is setup for existing products. Flexipay customer base is growing rapidly which makes for exciting challenges to solve, in the Payments space.

OUR IDEAL TEAMMATE HAS/IS:

• Experience in a Functional Programming Language
• Experience working with Backend systems, like APIs, Kafka
• Experience with a Distributed Version Control system, like Git
• Experience working with AWS

BROWNIE POINTS:

• Experience or interested in mentoring other Engineers
• Experience in Event-driven systems like Kafka 
• Experience or interest working with Infrastructure as code
