Manifesto’s team of talented people makes me very proud on a regular basis

Jim Bowes
CEO @Manifesto

We are thrilled to share about our collaboration with Manifesto, a digital agency also part of The Panoply, Questers’ group company. We’ve asked their CEO Jim Bowes to share with us more about the company, its team and the projects they are working on.

Tell us a bit about Manifesto? How would describe the company in few sentences?

Manifesto is an award winning, agile agency of creatives, strategists and technologists who collaborate to deliver user centred, innovative and engaging digital products for exceptional organisations in the health, housing, travel and not-for-profit sectors to change things for the better.

What were the main drivers to set up the company back in 2011? How has the company changed over time?

The main driver when we set up the agency was to create the company we wanted to work for. Since then we've assembled a team of over 60 creative, passionate, innovative individuals who love working together and with our clients to create ideas, campaigns, products and services that drive positive change.

When we started the company seven years ago, we had no idea that we’d spend much of 2018 preparing for an IPO as part of a larger group, The Panoply. Manifesto’s expertise in front-end experiences - which encompasses service design, user experience, content management and marketing automation - completes The Panoply offering that includes cloud computing, machine learning, digital transformation and automation capabilities.

2018 did a good job of reminding me that the agency landscape is ever evolving. The year saw the continuing rise of the consultancy groups in the agency space, and a number of deals involving SIs as they look to modernise. We also started to see how some new operating models and companies have struggled.

What are the biggest benefits for your clients?

At Manifesto, we work collaboratively across three broad areas, understanding the audience, engaging the audience, and delivering change for or within an organisation. There are many elements that sit within those areas, and our full-service offering and holistic approach to our technologies, people, and ways of working, help our clients develop a customer proposition that attracts, engages and retains audiences whilst speeding the organisation towards its strategic goals.

Do you specialize in a specific industry and what’s your typical client profile?

Manifesto work with a diverse range of clients, mostly established organisations, with a particular focus on not-for-profit, housing, higher education, health and leisure, and arts and entertainment.

What technologies are you mainly focused on?

We are a technology agnostic agency and we focus on building client centred digital experiences using solutions that are fit for purpose. We have particular experience with open source products including WordPress, BloomReach and have the largest team of Drupal experts in the UK. We also have strong expertise with Node.JS and Java technologies such as Adobe Campaign.

What do you consider your biggest achievement at Manifesto?

Building a team of such talented people that make me very proud on a regular basis and that make a huge difference to how millions of people interact with really important products and services.

The incredible Manifesto team is expanding to Bulgaria with the support of Questers and we are looking for an exceptional Senior PHP/ Drupal Developer to join them. Curious to learn more? Contact us, we will be happy to share more or check out the other hot vacancies we have here.
