Zephr is a London-based company developing an innovative B2B SaaS platform that allows publishing businesses to better understand their readers and easily create customer journeys. In November they engaged Questers to build a new team of exceptional Software Engineers in Bulgaria. And as their team continues to grow, we invited their COO Felix Danczak to tell us more about the company, the platform they are building and the type of people they are looking for. Tell us a bit about Zephr. How would you describe the company in a few sentences?
Zephr is fast, flexible and smart. We are a best-of-breed, dynamic paywall and subscription experience platform that enables the world’s leading media companies to gear up for the transition that is taking place - from transactional economy to subscription economy.
We want to create a world where every subscription product is tailored to the precise needs of each individual customer. Every customer gets exactly what they want, at the right price, at the right time and our clients gain customers for life.
What were the main drivers to set up the company?
After building some bespoke tools for some of the world’s biggest media firms we recognised a gap in the market for a platform that allowed businesses to create the best customer journeys in a totally new, code-free, highly iterative way.
What’s your typical client profile?
We work with some of the world’s largest news and media firms such as News Corp Australia, McClatchy and Dennis, but our clients vary, which is why they choose Zephr. Our unique approach offers flexible, individualised relationships.

How do you see the company developing in 2021? What are your plans for the Bulgarian team?
Having received our series A funding, we look to dominate the space we are currently in, as well as push out into newer verticals, such as video-streaming and Telecommunications. We are investing in people who have an expansive imagination, strong principles and a broad range of expertise and experience to make this happen. We see the Bulgarian team as the latest addition to our diverse family - they will be core to the success of the business, and be close colleagues to other remote teams in the UK, US, Spain, Italy, and the Netherlands.
