Support for the 5th Rails Girls Event in Sofia
Did you know the average number of women in technology is still only 14%? Being aware of this gender diversity issue Questers proudly supported for a second consecutive year a “Rails Girls” event in Sofia. Rails Girls Sofia is a regularly organized workshop aiming at opening up technology for girls and women with no experience and making it more approachable. The fifth free weekend event that took place on 23rd and 24th October introduced 100 enthusiastic girls and women to basic programming and the world of technology.
Support for the 4th Sofia Morning Run Marathon
Sofia Morning Run 2015 is a running race that took place on 1st November for a fourth consecutive year in the pleasant parkland surroundings of Borisova Garden, the oldest and best known park in Sofia, with the support of Sofia Municipality and the financial support of Questers.
This year’s charity cause of the event was to raise funds for the purchase of new furniture for а “Home of Opportunity”, a protected home where young people from orphanages are given a chance for an equal start for a period of two years after leaving the social institutions at the age of 18.
We are delighted that we not only partnered with Sofia Morning Run but also 8 of our colleagues competed, showed great determination and drive and ended up winning the team event!
