Questers has been recently engaged by Smart – a London-based retirement technology business – to set up and grow their new development unit in Bulgaria.
Smart is a rapidly growing fintech company that aims to transform the retirement industry. It was established in 2014 and has now grown to over 500 people in eight offices and six countries. The company is backed by global financial giants like J.P. Morgan, Barclays, Legal & General, DWS and more. In 2021 the company secured £165 million in Series D funding with the aim to further extend its offerings in the UK and around the globe. This ambitious goal requires the company to plan a major expansion of its R&D capabilities and therefore it has strategically decided to enter the diverse talent pool in Bulgaria and build its new development centre there.
To ensure a smooth entrance and support the growth of their new unit in Sofia, Smart has chosen Questers as an experienced partner with deep knowledge of the local talent market and proven results in establishing efficient technology teams over the past 15 years. The collaboration is set under the model of Dedicated Teams and aims to form a strong and highly-productive development division within the next few years.
The colleagues in this new division will be joining a global, dynamic and exciting team of professionals from different backgrounds, experiences and skills.
