THE ROLE:
EMEA PMO is a regional organization within the Global IT Function. EMEA PMO provides an effective and efficient project delivery service to enable business strategy execution. The regional PMO represents the Portfolio and Project Management capabilities.
The senior project manager is responsible for project management activities across projects with high cost and risk. This includes project leadership, project planning, project execution, project control, and business results. The senior project manager will manage complex process, data and technology projects across different stakeholders and countries in EMEA.
The senior project manager will work with Cargill businesses and functions to deliver projects to enable business strategy execution. The role demands a leader who can partner effectively with all levels of the organization. Seeking to understand the project objectives and demonstrating project leadership to bring about the desired business benefits and value as defined in the business case.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SOMETHING BIG:
This role will ensure consistent project management processes & tools are applied according to the rigor of the project. It is expected that the senior project manager will manage a portfolio up to 5 Million in estimated budget. Demonstrates expert knowledge of Project Management, thorough knowledge of PDP, and full knowledge of portfolio management.
Directional Guidance:
- Full Rigor Projects = Projects > +$1 million spend OR High Risk/complexity
- Medium Rigor Projects= $500K to $1 million, OR Medium Risk/Complexity
- Low Rigor Projects = Up to $500K
30% Project Execution:
- Leads execution of projects, utilizing the project management framework to achieve project objectives, on time and within budget
- Manages project risks and issues
20% Project Leadership:
- Provides strategic vision to the project team, utilizing general knowledge of portfolio management, and basic business/technical acumen
20% Project Planning:
- Defines project objectives and scope, utilizing a thorough knowledge of project management practices and procedures
15% Project Control:
- Ensures that project are delivered on time, on budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction 10% Business Results:
- Communicate effectively with project sponsors and stakeholders on project status
OUR IDEAL TEAMMATE HAS/IS:
- 6+ years of overall IT experience minimum
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, MIS or computer science or equivalent degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years project management experience being accountable for and leading a broad range of IT related projects in an enterprise environment, including (but not limited to):
- IT Infrastructure
- ERP (SAP/JDE or other)
- Business applications development and solutions
- Business applications development and solutions
- Strong discipline in applying and using project management practices, processes and tools.
- Thorough knowledge of project management and Project Delivery Processes
- Demonstrated good ERP, business application, software development, or IT Infrastructure knowledge and skills
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills

BROWNIE POINTS:
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- IT Infrastructure experience
