THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced, hands-on senior engineer who wants to build a game changing product that addresses some of our small business customers’ most pressing problems. This individual will be comfortable operating in an environment of fast pace and uncertainty, and will thrive in solving some really hard problems with a cross-functional team.

YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO SOMETHING BIG:
- Collaborate with the Product team and other Engineering teams to prototype, develop and refine new iterations of this new customer-facing product using technologies including Python, AWS lambdas and Kafka.
- Take an active role in the team’s ceremonies
- Bring an innovative mindset to discussions to help explore what can be delivered
- Get involved with the technical direction and best practices of the team
- Share their own software development experiences to help the team grow
OUR IDEAL TEAMMATE HAS/IS:
- Extensive commercial experience with Python
- Experience with version control, e.g. GitHub
- Experience in Event-driven systems like Kafka
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience or interest working with Infrastructure as code
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles
- Experience or interest in mentoring more junior engineers
- Excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
